Frequently Asked Questions
What are the stages of recruitment at Tutore?
Once you apply, we’ll send you a link to a short test on Testportal, which takes around 15 minutes. If you pass, we’ll arrange a 30-minute recruitment interview via Google Meet. The final stage is a follow-up phone call where we make a joint decision about working together.
How long are the lessons?
Lessons on the Tutore platform can last 25, 45, 60 or 90 minutes.
Can I teach from anywhere in the world?
Absolutely! All you need is a stable internet connection, a laptop or desktop computer, a headset with a microphone, and a quiet space where you can focus entirely on the lesson.
How are lessons conducted?
Lessons are held remotely, so there’s no need to commute! You simply log in to the Tutore platform and start your educational journey with the student via ClickMeeting.
Will I receive teaching materials?
Of course! Our teachers are fully supported - they have access to materials, lesson scripts and ongoing guidance from our methodology team.
What is a teacher profile?
A teacher profile is like a calling card. It includes a photo, a short introductory video and a written description - all designed to help students choose the right teacher for their needs. The description might include your availability, the language level you teach, or your interests.
What’s the latest a student can book a lesson?
Students must book at least 24 hours in advance.
Can I teach on Saturdays?
You choose your own working hours! You set your availability, and students can only book lessons within those time slots.
What happens if there are technical issues?
If the issue is on the student’s end, teachers can report it through the platform. If the issue is on the teacher’s side, there’s a dedicated Tech Support line for teachers. Our support team is always ready to help and will find a solution to any problem straight away.
Is there training before I start teaching?
Absolutely! All our teachers receive onboarding training on how to use the materials and the platform. You’ll also have continuous support from our methodology team throughout your time with us.
Can I teach both group and one-to-one lessons?
Yes, you can! If you'd like to teach both formats, you can let us know either at the start or later on - whenever suits you.
